Leadership

CW5 (Ret) Charles "Chip" R. Dowd

Region II Director

Chip Dowd leads USAWOA Western Region II, supporting 17 chapters across the U.S. and abroad. A life member, he continues serving with the Bigfoot Silver Chapter. With over 35 years as a Warrant Officer, he specialized in CID and geospatial intelligence with CENTCOM. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State and retired in 2011.

CW5 (Ret) Richard "Dick" Hergert

Region II Deputy Director

Dick Hergert supports the leadership of 17 chapters as Deputy Director. A life member of both USAWOA and MOAA, he served 40 years in the Army National Guard and Reserve, specializing in the Signal Corps. He was the Command Chief Warrant Officer of the 70th Regional Readiness Command and holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
